Four Centuries of Song

The twelve unaccompanied voices of Vermont’s premier professional vocal ensemble offer choral songs spanning many periods, countries, and cultures. The program includes Claude Debussy’s evocative Three Songs of Charles D’Orléans, choruses by Haydn, English madrigals, early American sacred songs, and twentieth-century choral gems, as well as settings of folk songs from Latin America and the Eastern Europe Jewish community. The concert ends with a set of moving and rousing African-American spirituals.

seniors and students $10.00;
ages 15 and younger-Free at the door with ticketed adult
