The Cornell University Chorus in Concert at the
Vergennes Opera House and the Elley-Long Music Center
March 24 and 25, 2011
The esteemed Cornell University Chorus travels to Vermont as part of its Spring 2011 tour of Canada and the Northeast. The Cornell University Chorus is an all-female, student run choral ensemble founded in 1921. The Chorus performs a repertoire spanning eight centuries and ten languages, including masses, motets, spirituals, folks and a variety of other classical and contemporary pieces, under the direction of Scott Tucker. The Chorus will present two concerts in Vermont, part of an eight-day tour of Canada and the Northeast that features stops in Rochester, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Vermont.
