Cailin Marcel Manson came to Vermont from his native Philadelphia, where he worked to increase community involvement in music by creating performance and training opportunities for singers and musicians of mixed experience. He is the founding director and conductor of the Germantown Concert Chorus, as well as the Germantown Institute for the Vocal Arts. Mr. Manson has worked with ensembles both nationally and internationally. He is presently the Director of Music at the Putney School, and, since 2014, Music Director of the Bennington County Choral Society.
The baritone and conductor has toured major concert venues throughout the United States, Europe and Asia with many organizations as a performer and master teacher. Mr. Manson has held positions as artistic director and conductor of the Montgomery County Youth Orchestra, music director of the Vorarlberger Musikfest, music director and conductor laureate of the Chamber Symphony of Atlantic City, chairman of vocal studies at the Hazleton Conservatory for the Performing Arts, and as a member of the voice faculty of both the Napoli School of Music and Dance and the Performing Arts Institute of Wyoming Seminary. He is a member of the National Association of Negro Musicians and the Conductors Guild.
A graduate of the Esther Boyer College of Music of Temple University, Mr. Manson also received a Magister in orchestral conducting and opera from the Universitat Mozarteum Salzburg in Austria.
We hope you’ll join us for this great day of singing and sharing of music!
