Choral Accompanist – Bennington County Choral Society

The Bennington County Choral Society seeks a talented choral accompanist to
join its artistic team, beginning with its coming 2016-2017. Rehearsals begin
September 12, and the concert/rehearsal season runs from September-May, with
two/three concert productions.
The Accompanist will play for choral rehearsals on Monday evenings, from 7-
9pm, in downtown Bennington, VT and will accompany the chorus, when
needed, for concert performances and dress rehearsals.
The ideal candidate will be an astute and technically proficient collaborative
pianist, with experience playing choral parts in various couplings, and sensitivity
following a conductor. The accompanist also needs fine sight-reading abilities,
even though the concert repertoire is set and can be prepared in advance.
The Bennington County Choral Society promotes choral singing. This goal is
accomplished by presenting two to three concerts each season. Members hail
from Bennington County and towns in Western Massachusetts, and neighboring
New York State. The BCCS is open to all ages and singing/reading abilities.
