Vermont ACDA presents its annual Madrigal Festival on Friday, December 9, 2016. More than 300 students from 16 high schools* across Vermont rehearse during the day. The concert that evening features selections from each of the high school ensembles, and combined works under the direction of guest conductor David Otis Catonguay, whom we welcome to Vermont upon his retirement after more than 30 years as director of choral activities at Radford University in Virginia.
The all-festival chorus will sing Hallelu! by Stephen Paulus, Trinklied by Schubert, and Stars by Eriks Esenvald.
Our madrigal festival moves to a new location this, at the historic
St. Joseph’s Co-Cathedral
29 Allen Street in Burlington‘s North End.
